Another decisive point in choosing the best time to go to Corsica: the weather.

Corsican weather
Corsica enjoys a Mediterranean climate, which means summers are hot and dry while winters are mild and rainy.
In general, the weather is pleasant in Corsica from April to November.
In spring the maquis is in bloom, in summer, the turquoise water contrasts with the red rocks and in autumn the trees take on their orangey cloak that tells us winter's just around the corner.
Particularities of Haute-Corse weather
Northern Corsica is a little drier and warmer than the south, and rain is rarer.
Haute-Corse, on the other hand, is pretty windy sometimes with the Tramontane (with strong, cool gusts), the Mistral (a dry wind in summer but damp in winter) and the Libeccio.
Particularities of Southern Corsica weather
Southern Corsica is slightly cooler than the north, but still benefits from the Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Southern Corsica remains one of the sunniest and warmest departments in France. In fact, it's subject to the influences of the Sirocco, the hot, dusty wind that comes straight from the Sahara.
