AjaccioMarseille
To board one of La Méridionale ferries for the Ajaccio-Marseille connections, you must go to Ajaccio's commercial port. It is located north of the Tino Rossi marina and 200 meters from the Palais Fesch, the Museum of Fine Arts. You can find its exact location on our map of the port of Ajaccio.
Traveller access to the port
Travellers should arrive at the passenger terminal at the latest:
- 1 hour before departure for pedestrian passengers;
- 1 hour and a half before departure for passengers with a vehicle.
In the event of late arrival at the port of Ajaccio, access to the ship may be refused.
Tips for boarding
The access to the port of Ajaccio may be delayed due to roadworks or heavy traffic. Give yourself more time to travel to arrive at the port with total peace of mind.
To make sure you get on board, you must present your reservation as well as proof of identity for each passenger, including minors.
If you are leaving the Isle of Beauty with your car or your two-wheeler, you must also show the vehicle's papers when boarding at the passenger terminal in Ajaccio.
Boarding with a pet
La Méridionale ferries departing from and arriving at the port of Ajaccio welcome pets on-board. They must be mentioned in the booking.
The cabins and other facilities of the Piana, the Marseille-Ajaccio ferry, are exclusively reserved for passengers. Dogs and cats are not permitted in these areas.
During the crossing to Corsica, pets travel:
- in their owner's vehicle
- or in our air-conditioned kennel
If your pet travels in your vehicle, we adivse you to place them in the passenger compartment, with the windows open for air. In the event of hot weather, we recommend booking a place in the air-conditioned kennels.

- Take the D81 towards Ajaccio
- Then take the N194 towards Ajaccio

From Bastia or Corte
- Take the N193 towards Corte then Ajaccio
- Then the N194 towards Ajaccio
- Follow Ajaccio-Centre/Le port
From Propriano
