Carrying freight, in particular to Corsica, is La Méridionale's historic business. We operate regular sea links between Marseille and Corsica and ensure your cargo is carried under the best possible conditions. Rolling freight is also carried to Tangier 3 times a week.

Improved efficiency through technology

Since 2004, our freight loading terminal in Marseille has been equipped with an identification and measurement tunnel.

A compulsory step for the truckload embarking, this device photographs vehicles from 14 angles, measures and records them and helps to optimize procedures.

Enhanced performance through digitalization

In order to improve our services and enable our customers to achieve gains in productivity, we have deployed a dematerialization solution that combines a dedicated "web portal" with a "Connected Corsica Terminal (CCT)" application used by our teams at our freight boarding terminal.

The "web portal" is made available to our customers and enables them with complete autonomy and simplicity to plan their bookings, remotely check the status of their cargo and benefit from dematerialized document management.

The CCT application enables our operators (Officers, Seagoing crew and Stevedores) to record in real time each of the key stages of loading, from storage on the parking area to disembarkation, via the position of the load on board.

Surveillance of trailers waiting in Marseille*

Trailers awaiting availability to embark on one of our vessels bound for Corsica can take advantage of the free security service at our loading docks in the port of Marseille.

Drivers travel in the best conditions

While primarily designed to carry rolling freight, our ships are nonetheless equipped with all the comfort necessary to enable conveyors to accompany their loads in the best conditions to rest during the crossing.

To this end, they benefit from an equipped cabin and half board in our catering areas.
